Pink Treacle Promotions is the rather silly, rather funky, rather unusual name thought up by Lucie Whiting.
Lucie has always had an eye for media. She studied A-levels in her home town of Corsham; with A-Level media being one of her subjects. Passing this and enjoying it Lucie went on to study for a BTEC National Diploma in Media studies at City of Bath College. Lucie specialised in publishing & marketing in her final year.
After leaving City of Bath College Lucie began working for a leading publishing company in the centre of Bath who produced leading City lifestyle titles. Here Lucie started just a wee nipper fresh from College as an Account executive where she was in charge of looking after the clients, advising, consulting and booking them into the magazines.
Lucie always had an eye for the creative side too…she then joined the production team where she often assisted the graphic designers in putting together adverts for local companies. This was a role she thoroughly enjoyed.
Being a local girl, Lucie decided that she wanted to help the small and local businesses to promote themselves and be able to take advantage of some great ‘student rate’ design and marketing options. She understands that people are all too quick to charge ridiculous prices and wanted to create an affordable service for the locals!
This, coupled with working in the media inspired her to start up her own company …and here you have it ladies and gents!
